FMAS Examination Instructions

The breakup of the marks is as follows:


A. Theory Examination - 75 marks


1) 60 MCQ questions 60 Marks - One Hour

(surgeons and Gyne seperate papers)


2) 15 Quiz questions (Video/photo/single answer) ​15 Marks -15 Minutes


B. Paper Publication - 5 marks

C. Viva -10 marks

D. Skills Assessment -10 marks.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Should have passed MS/DNB (Gen Surg) or
  • MD/MS/DGO/DNB (ObGyn) (MCI recognised).
  • Minimum 1 year experience after DGO
  • Should be performing basic laparoscopic procedures independently. Should have attended at least 1 ​skill course in the past two years (only if the candidate is not attending the current one).
  • Should be a Member of AMASI or should apply for new membership.

120 candidates on first come first serve basis (including both surgeons from broad & super speciality and ​gynecologisis) for FMAS examination only.
